Second Session – Intermediate to Advanced
The emphasis of this workshop will be color and experimental watermedia in acrylic and gouache or casein. You will begin using acrylic as a water medium and as the week progresses introduce gouache (or casein – either medium works) as a translucent and opaque overlay. One day will be devoted to acrylic collage and one day will emphasize acrylic on the aquabord surface. Throughout the week color, composition and water media visual qualities will be focused on.
Stephen Quiller, A.W.S.-DF, N.W.S., R.M.N.W., Society for Painters in Acrylic and Casein, has been awarded the Nicholas Reale Memorial Award, Hal P. Moore Award, the Louis Kaep Award, the Winsor & Newton Award, Didi Deglin Award and the Walter Greathouse Medal with the American Watercolor Society and The Philadelphia Watercolor Society Award at the National Watercolor Society among others. He has done twelve educational painting videos and DVDs and written six books on color and watermedia.
