Highlights of Springmaid Beach Resort
Staying at Springmaid Beach Resort in Myrtle Beach is like a vacation in and of itself. With all of the fantastic amenities that Springmaid Beach Resort offers, it’s not hard to see why Springmaid is considered to be one of the top family hotels in Myrtle Beach. Since Springmaid Beach Resort in Myrtle Beach is so much fun for families, we decided to put together a list to highlight the most popular aspects of Springmaid Beach Resort!
Here they are (in no particular order):
Springmaid Pier
At 1060 feet, the Springmaid Pier is the longest over-water pier in Myrtle Beach. Fishermen enjoy casting into the Atlantic in hopes of catching the big one while sight-seers stroll down its 36 foot wide boardwalk, taking in the sights and sounds of the ocean. Springmaid Pier has been voted as the “Best of the Beach” by the Sun News for several years and with good reason. Springmaid Pier offers visitors many options for entertainment, including BARnacles Bar and Grille, an oceanfront restaurant at Springmaid Pier that serves casual beach food as well as cocktails, ice cream, and smoothies. Fishermen who wish to cast from Springmaid Pier will enjoy the Tackle and Gift Shop. Here you can rent rods and buy bait in hopes of catching the next big tarpon or mackerel. The Springmaid Pier is a popular attraction for guests of all Myrtle Beach hotels, not just guests of Springmaid!
The Ocean
While this seems like a given, many Myrtle Beach hotels offer no beach access. Not only is Springmaid Beach Resort an oceanfront hotel, but it also offers guests a semi-private beach (one side is blocked off by the Springmaid Pier). Beach chair and umbrella rentals are available seasonally on the beach so that guests can take full advantage of the beautiful sandy beaches. In addition, there are plenty of companies in Myrtle Beach that offer vacationers parasailing and windsurfing excursions.
Arcade and Miniature Golf Course
Not many Myrtle Beach hotels offer this type of family fun! Come enjoy the Harbor Oaks Arcade onsite at Springmaid Beach Resort, featuring everything from classic arcade games to interactive and Wii video games. After spending a day collecting tickets at the arcade, cash them in at the prize counter to receive items such as toys and candy!
After having fun at the arcade at Springmaid, check out our eighteen-hole miniature golf course next to the Guest Check-In building. The mini-golf course is designed for golfers of all ages and features a seaside villiage theme.
