Springmaid Beach Resort’s Marlins Restaurant serves up Award Winning Omelets
Each morning guests of Springmaid Beach Resort wake up to an Award Winning Breakfast Buffet, included in the buffet is a customized and personalized omelet station. Mr. Ray Shamlou has been our Omelet Chef every day since 2006. Mr. Ray has won several awards at the local and state level for his service and interaction with each and every guest of Springmaid Beach Resort.
Mr. Ray Shamlou was hired in 2005 to help in the kitchen, just before 2006 Mr. Ray mentioned to our Executive Chef Mike Gadson that he wanted to add something to the buffet each morning. Chef Mike Gadson asked exactly what Ray had in mind; Ray said he wanted to start an Omelet Station. Chef Mike quickly agreed and to today Mr. Ray hasn’t missed a morning of work since 2005.
Ray has won two very prestigious awards; in 2010 Ray won the Myrtle Beach Hospitality Associations Front Line Employee of the Year and in 2011 Ray won the South Carolina Hospitality Association Restaurant Front of the House Employee of the Year Award.
Mr. Ray and his award winning omelet’s receive guest comments daily. Several people have given Ray cards showing their thanks. Mr. Ray goes above and beyond with each omelet ensuring guest satisfaction and enjoyment.
Ray says the most popular omelet is a Western Omelet that features peppers, onions, ham, and turkey. On your next visit come see Mr. Ray and let him make an omelet just the way you want it.
Marlin’s Restaurant is open daily serving an Award Winning Breakfast Buffet from 7am-10am. The buffet features eggs, bacon, fruit, cereal, cinnamon buns, grits and much more. Coffee, soda, milk or tea is included in the buffet price. For more information please call 843-315-7200
